Our menus change regularly to ensure dishes we are serving can be created using produce which is in season and sourced fresh.
We pride ourselves on creating all our dishes in house and where possible even our sauces. So please remember during busy periods there may be a short wait.
Our kitchen team is led by a very experienced and passionate head chef who works hard to source local produce from small independent suppliers as well as larger suppliers to ensure that we bring a taste of Purbeck and Dorset to our menus.
You will soon notice a fish theme to our menus and do you blame us? The Jurassic coast offers some fabulous varieties of fish and seafood. Where possible our fish is from English waters and usually Jurassic coast caught. No frozen fish in sight!
Have any dietary requirements? don’t be afraid to speak to a member of our team as many of our menus can be adapted to suit your requirements. We pride ourselves on a large variety of Gluten free options including our fish and chips and burgers! And yes that does include the onion rings! All battered using a 100% gluten free batter on request, meaning you don’t miss out.
Love coffee? we have a wide range of coffee all made using freshly ground coffee beans.
Our coffees can also be made Decaf using freshly ground fairtrade Puro coffee beans.

Is tea your thing? We sell a wide range of Teas both black and herbal from Dorset tea.

Fancy something cold? we offer a wide range of soft drinks either from the pump or served in bottles.

Fancy something stronger? We are fully licenced and offer a range of ales, lagers, ciders and spirits sourced from along the Jurassic Coast. What’s more we are Cask Marque registered and so you can follow their ale trail to us!
From cider produced in Corfe Castle to Vodka from west Dorset.

We are lucky to be located in the stunning Victorian Folly, Durlston Castle, which is nestled on the Purbeck peninsular of the Jurassic Coast.

Set within 320 acres of National nature reserve, Durlston castle is the centre point set up high on the cliff edge and we are lucky enough to have one the best views in the house! Set towards the back of the castle, our contemporary dining area and large wrap around terrace hosts far reaching and breath taking views.
Weather you are looking to relax after a refreshing stroll, gasping after a hike along the Jurassic coast path or just looking for a venue to relax and catch up with family and friends we have a space for you.

War Against Waste
We are proud to be one of Purbecks businesses to be given plastic free status!
In an industry that produces a huge amount of waste we felt it was time to take responsibility for the waste we produce and do our best to either reduce single use or to source alternatives which are better for our planet.

All our takeaway drinks cups, lids, straws, stirrers, sandwich boxes are compostable and produced using a plant based material so we welcome them back so we can dispose of correctly.

We welcome a bring your own thermal mug scheme and offer a bargain hot drink of £1.25 when purchased to take away.

should you be after some much needed h20 either pop into us to take advantage of our free tap water, pop to the refill point beside the castle to fill your own bottle or pop to our drinks fridge where w3esell canned water!
Not only are they 100% recyclable, the cans are also resealable and should you need, refillable.
